Our bookmobile librarian has retired for medical reasons, and while our bookmobile is still on the road, it is working on an abbreviated schedule.     If you have bookmobile books you wish to return, drop them off at either library.   If you are homebound, and need bookmobile service, please call us so we can get you on the list.    We realize that many bookmobile customers also frequent the libraries, and hope you will understand that first priority must be given to our customers who are home-bound or residents of facilities such as nursing homes.   Please call us with any questions:    337-3422 or  248-4812.

Bookmobile Schedule

Bell Co. Bookmobile

The Bell Co. Bookmobile traverses the county every three weeks, bringing books, Large Type Books, and special request items to county citizens.....at private homes or in institutions, at schools and day care centers.

Bookmobile in Pineville Xmas Parade

The Bell Co. Bookmobile participated in the 2004 Pineville Christmas Parade.

Former bookmobile librarian Patricia Hopkins dressed for Pajama Day on the bookmobile.  Many bookmobile customers from nursing homes and senior citizens centers (and some individual customers) got into the act and wore THEIR pajamas on specified days, too.

Book Bingo is popular at several nursing homes and seniors' centers.

J. R. Greene rides in the bookmobile in Middlesboro's Christmas Parade, December 2001.

Bookmobile Schedule

This is a generic schedule.  Most weeks, the bookmobile will follow this schedule, but please keep in mind that holidays, inclement weather, workshop attendance,  mechanical problems, etc. will necessitate occasional changes.     You are welcome to call the libraries  (248-4812  or  337-3422) for updated information.

Also, if you have never been a bookmobile customer but find it difficult to come to one of the libraries,  contact Pat at 248-4812 to request regular bookmobile service.

We're sorry, but the bookmobile cannot transport persons from place to place.
